linda gholston, my bundle of early life, growing up in the 1940's, growing up in the 1950's, baby boomer Are you in need of a good read? Well I found it in "My Bundle of Early Life" by Linda Gholston.

The Book

"My Bundle of Early Life" is a collection of vignettes written by a baby boomer. If you're not familiar with the term "baby boomer" it refers generally to people who were born between 1946 and 1964. The author of the book was born in 1947. The author of this post.....born in 1950. So you can see we have a lot in common when it comes to growing up in the south. If you're a baby boomer, and even if you're not.....you'll love this book))

The Author

The author of "My Bundle of Early Life" is Linda Gholston. It is not my intent here to give you Linda's curriculum vitae, it's long accomplished. But she is a retired registered nurse and graduated from Blue Mountain College. My association with Linda began when I was a fresh new nurse at the ripe age of 36. Linda was the head of Nursing Administration at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. My sister was also a nurse, along with my daughter Carrie. We've all worked as nurses in various positions under Ms. Ghoston. Linda has been my mentor, leader, respected colleague and close personal friend for many years. Anything that she has said in this book....you can take to the bank))) She is a vivid storyteller and one of the best speakers you could ever listen too. You'll love her stories.....some sweet, some poignant and plenty funny! No one can take a serious situation and turn it into a funny story like Linda! After getting this first book "My Bundle of Early Life" under her belt, I'm hoping she'll write about her nursing adventures. We could all contribute that that one! Nursing is serious business and not to be taken lightly......but it has a funny side too))). If you ever worked with Linda or served in any capacity with her, you always knew that patient care came first. No matter what was going on, no matter the situation, taking care of the patient was first and foremost.
