Summary
Sprayed secured together with zip ties to use as a base for other items. The "base" was secured to the top of the lantern using 1.5" ribbon (ribbon holds better than chenille stems and doesn't slip around as much)
Bows were made from scraps. Pieces were cut 24" in length and loops of 4.5 - 5" made. All the loops need to be the same length. Tails can be different lengths.
Bow idea was from Julie at Southern Charm Wreaths. You can visit her page at www.southerncharmwreaths.com
Julie also has a great E-Book on wreath making. Check it out here: Learn Deco Mesh Wreath Design
Secure Patriotic ball spray base to lantern, then secure mesh clusters, bows and other embellishments to the spray base using chenille stems or zip ties.
Hindsight: When making mesh clusters, use the full size chenille stem (in the video we cut them in half). Full size would be easier to work with.
Love the lantern! Love the battery candle also. With the battery candles, you can position your lantern in hard to reach places and just leave it there, use the remote to turn the candle on and off, adjust the flickering and even set it on timer. Click here to see more of our Melrose Decor.
