Grapevine Wreath

We made the scarecrow grapevine wreath on an oval wreath form. You could use a round of course.

It measured about 16" or 18." Have you ever had difficulty with a grapevine wreath being wrapped or a bit crooked? Well me too!

Here's a link to a tutorial I did a while back to show you how to help straighten those problem wreath out.

How to Fix a Warped Grapevine Wreath

Scarecrow Shelf Sitter

Attach the scarecrow shelf sitter using floral wire, wrapped around the scarecrow in two places. Be sure to remember to check the back of your wreath when you're done and turn any wire ends toward the inside.

Hand Tied Bow

Make a hand-tied bow or use the E-Z bowmaker or Probow to make about a 12" sized wreath bow.

This scarecrow grapevine wreath was part of a two wreath tutorial and the video for making the bow was included in the first video. The link to that video is above in the first paragraph.

We have a YouTube playlist on making bows and here's a link to that: Bowmaking Playlist

Secure the bow to the wreath using floral wire.

Adding Florals to Grapevine Wreath

Please note that we did not use any hot glue on this project simply because we were experimenting with different styles of wreaths.

You would want to use hot glue if you are making this as a permanent arrangement. This was for demonstration only.

Summary

We added a final little touch to the scarecrow grapevine wreath by making a tiny little floral bouquet. Secure the bouquet to the scarecrow's hand using raffia or something similar.

It's not too early to start planning your fall decorating. Especially if you are a wreath maker and need to have lead time to create your wreath, market it, and ship.

So many times people will fuss at us saying something like.....summer just gotten here!! But we understand the importance of getting information out there early enough for our wreath maker customers. Everyone else, just as to put up with us.)))

Here's the final wreath. I like it! I may go back and use some hot glue on these floral and put this one on my front door.)))

If you have any questions or comments, just leave us a note. We love hearing from our readers.
