January 7, 2017 Valentine Wreath Parade Part 1

I still haven't braved the cold weather to go down to the shop (beside our house where the video equipment is) to re-work the Santa wreath. It's about 12 degrees today! This is a record for Mississippi I think....course tomorrow, it may be back up in the 60's you just never know. Re-working the Santa wreath will have to wait until we get back from Atlanta at this point since we fly out tomorrow. It's so sad about the shooting in Ft. Lauderdale yesterday My heart goes out to the victims and their families. When you get on a plane, you pray for safe travel, you don't think about having to pray that you don't get shot in an airport. I was in the Ft. Lauderdale airport a few years go and I just can't imagine what the victims must have experienced. It's like a horror show and it keeps happening over and over again. Before having to pack for the trip, I was able to put together the first part of a Parade of Valentine Wreaths handcrafted by folks on the Trendy Tree Custom Designer List. These wreaths are so pretty! The first video is ready to go and maybe I can get the second part done before we leave. Here's the link: A couple of new shipments came in this week - lots of new spring ribbon, mesh and decor. You can check out the new items easily by viewing the "New Arrivals" category. If the product is new to Trendy Tree and this is the first inventory, you will see it in the New Arrivals category. If it's an item that we have carried for a while, the inventory will just be updated and it won't be in the New Arrival category. There is a link on each product page when an item is out of stock where you can enter your email address to receive a notification when an item comes in. This is very helpful. You can also add items to the "Wish List" to keep up with what you're interested in before you place your purchase. Matt spent the night with us last night and Carrie and David came over when they closed up shop yesterday. Remember my post from a few days ago when I mentioned my new electric pressure cooker...well I was able to take advantage of the chicken that I cooked earlier this week. So far I've done a beef roast, chicken and pork roast. All have turned out great))) The chicken was such a large amount that half of it went in the freezer. So, last night I whipped out the remainder of the chicken, cooked up some noodles, added some cream of chicken soup, milk, salt and pepper and we had the best chicken soup! The chicken was so tender. I think I'm going to love this addition to my kitchen gadgets. If you have one of these cookers and have some recipes you like, please share them! There is a macaroni recipe that I saw on Pinterest that I can't wait to try. It's like a traditional macaroni and cheese, but also has some hot sauce, mustard and parmesan cheese....sounded like a winner. Our grand kids eat macaroni and cheese in any form or fashion))) Later!
