This is just a quick bow tutorial using some leftover Patriotic ribbons that I had in my craft room. You can choose from so many different styles of ribbon and come up with a similar bow. The main reason for the tutorial is just to show a techniqiue.

We used a combination of 2.5" and 1.5" ribbon for this bow. But you could always use a 4" too. There is no right or wrong way to choose your ribbons.
We typically always used wired ribbon because it's easier to work with and I like ribbons that have a nice texture or stiffness to them.
Now, occasionally, a bow calls for a soft, droopy ribbon like an unwired satin or grosgrain, but not usually for a wreath bow. It just all depends on the look you are going for.
We have so many styles of ribbon to choose from. And remember when you are looking for Patriotic ribbon, don't just look in the "Patriotic" collection.
Check out the stripes, checks, polka dots and solids. Something in royal blue polka dots might just be the perfect ribbon to compliment your primary Patriotic pattern.

We used the EZ Bowmaker for this tutorial, but you could create the same ribbon using a Bowdabra or actually just holding it in your hand. The EZ Bowmaker just makes it.....well...EASY just as the name implies)))
We sell the EZ Bowmaker on Trendy Tree and don't fret if you see us out of stock occasionally. Usually when that happens, there is more on the way.
